Doha 2016, Elite Men's ITT: Out of the Gate

Taylor Phinney (USA) rolled down the ramp and got himself up to speed as quickly as possible.  The riders await their start time both warming up and keeping their bodies cool with ice vests.  When they start out, it must feel like they are riding into an oven.  Many are starting their 45 minute to an hour effort with an ice bag down the back of their skin suit in a vain effort to beat the heat.  Whether it was the heat or his legs, Phinney didn't have the day he had hoped for finishing 15th on the day.

This is a small watercolors and ink painting measuring just 4"x6" and was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.richesonart.com.  This painting and all of my Olympics artwork will be available through my artist website at www.greigleach.com.  To purchase this particular painting just follow the direct link at the end of this post.  It is only $75 USD and international shipping is available.
