Rio Olympics: Starting Their Campaign

The men's decathlon got underway today with and early morning 100 meter dash.  With so many competitors the race was run in several heats.  It seems that the favorites were clumped into the final heat, which was won by the Algerian Larbi Bourrada.  His placing earned him fifth place after the first event followed by the Brazilian Luis Alberto De Araujo who also followed him across the line. In the near lane is Kevin Mayer (France) and the far lane taking fourth is the Dutchman, Eelco Sintnicolaas.  So that makes one event down, just nine more to go.

This is a small watercolors and ink painting measuring just 4"x6" and was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.richesonart.com.  This painting and all of my Olympics artwork will be available through my artist website at www.greigleach.com.  To purchase this particular painting just follow the direct link at the end of this post.  Remember this is an original work of art, so once it has been sold, it is gone.  Don't delay buy it now!
